Kobayakawa Takakage (1533-1597) founded the house of the Kobayakawa. He was a well-known warrior,

especially after the battle of Itsukushima (1555). Takakage became a prominent politician. He fought against Toyotomi Hideyoshi

and despite the rivalry, they always showed warmth and mutual respect. In 1582 he sided with him and was a member of the

Council of the Five Elders. In the scene he appears sitting in his commander's chair, in full armor, helmet and yari.

It is located next to a wooden palisade that serves to protect him.

The text is taken from a loose translation from Spanish

in a paper on the collection of the Universidad Zaragoza.
